hey everyone! Pauline here from Zilch Beauty, back with another subtl tutorial. as I'm in the midst of moving apartments this week, I'm embracing the idea of a fresh start – both in my living space and my makeup routine. speaking of fresh starts, subtl had its own revitalization with a rebrand last year, and today I'm excited to introduce you to their brand new four-piece brush set. if you're familiar with the old set, you'll notice that these brushes have evolved for the better. join me as I walk you through how I use each one to create a flawless look!
the stippling brush
to achieve a flawless base, I start by applying a tinted serum all over my face using the #20 stippling brush. its denser bristles and fine texture blend the product seamlessly, leaving a smooth and natural finish. whether it's concealer or face coverage, this brush is my go-to for achieving an airbrushed look. I love how it effortlessly buffs the product into the skin, providing buildable coverage without any streaks or patches.
the blush brush
for bronzer application, I reach for the #35 blush brush from the set. while it's designed for powder blush, I've been loving it for bronzer as well. the pointed shape of the brush allows for precise placement, giving me a natural, sun-kissed look. I find that it distributes the product evenly and blends seamlessly, leaving a soft and diffused finish. plus, its fluffy bristles make blending a breeze, ensuring that my bronzer looks seamless and natural every time.
the powder brush
moving on to setting my makeup, I use the #45 powder brush to apply shine control powder. focusing on areas where I applied cream products, I lightly dust the powder to ensure long-lasting wear without compromising the natural glow. I love how soft and fluffy the bristles are, making it easy to distribute the powder evenly across my face. it helps to mattify any shine while still allowing my skin to radiate a healthy glow.
the dual-ended brush
for my eye makeup, I turn to the #15 dual-ended brush. using the fluffier end, I apply bronzer to my crease and outer corner for a natural eye look. then, I switch to the flat end to add definition to my nose with the same bronzer. I find that the brush picks up the perfect amount of product and blends effortlessly, giving my eyes a subtle yet defined look. plus, its dual-ended design makes it versatile and convenient for on-the-go touch-ups.
I hope you found this detailed breakdown helpful! be sure to check out the new brush set for yourself and stay tuned for more content coming soon. until next time, beauties!
