Swatching Every Subtl Beauty Lip & Cheek Shade: A Complete Guide
Hey everyone! Welcome back to the Subtl Beauty YouTube channel. It’s Keira here, and I’m beyond excited about today’s video because we’re going to be swatching all nine of Subtl Beauty’s Lip & Cheek shades! These shades are perfect for adding a pop of color to your lips and cheeks, and I can’t wait to walk you through each one. While you can always head over to the product page to check out the swatches, I’ve received a ton of requests to swatch them all here, so let’s get started!
1. Hibiscus Highway
First up, we have Hibiscus Highway. This is a cool, bright pink shade that I absolutely love. Even though I’m not usually a “pink girl,” this shade has won me over. It’s perfect for adding a bit of brightness to your look, and I like to apply it in the center of my lips with a darker liner around the edges for a beautiful, full-lip effect. Here’s the swatch—look how pretty it is!
2. Mauve in the Maldives
Next, we have Mauve in the Maldives. I always get comments on how I pronounce “mauve,” but regardless of pronunciation, this shade is gorgeous. It’s a muted, cool-toned pink that’s a bit more subdued than Hibiscus Highway, making it a great everyday shade. This is a classic and versatile option for anyone who loves a soft pink look.
3. Elderberry Escapade
Moving on, we have Elderberry Escapade. I have to admit, I’ve been neglecting this one, but swatching it today reminds me of how beautiful it is. It’s a cool, deep mauve that’s perfect for fall. I really need to start using this shade more because it’s just so rich and lovely.
4. Runway to Rose
Now, let’s talk about Runway to Rose—probably my personal favorite. This rosy nude-pink is just perfect on both the lips and cheeks. It’s a shade that I can wear every day, and it works beautifully with my skin tone. If you’re looking for a go-to shade that flatters both lips and cheeks, Runway to Rose is it.
5. Terracotta Tour Guide
Next up is Terracotta Tour Guide, another one of my top favorites. This was one of the first shades released with the Stak 2.0 launch, and I used it all the time before Runway to Rose came into my life. It’s a warm, earthy pink that blends out so beautifully and adds some lovely warmth to your look.
6. Guava Getaway
The newest addition to the Subtl Beauty Lip & Cheek family is Guava Getaway. It’s part of the new Road Trip Collection, and I’m wearing it on my lips right now! It’s a gorgeous, warm, rosy brown that looks stunning when blended on the cheeks with a lighter shade like Apricot Avenue Powder Blush on top. I’m really loving this shade for a soft, yet impactful look.
7. Auburn Adventure
Now let’s swatch Auburn Adventure. This is a deep, warm reddish-brown that’s super versatile, especially if you’re into that 90s over-lined lip look. It’s perfect for creating a bold lip, and it also works beautifully as a lip liner. If you’re a fan of the 90s lip trend, Auburn Adventure is a must-have in your collection.
8. Raspberry Room Service
Next, we have Raspberry Room Service—a warm berry red that’s absolutely perfect for fall. I’ve realized that I need to experiment with this shade more often because it’s just so rich and vibrant. As fall approaches, I’m excited to start incorporating this stunning color into my makeup routine.
9. Passport to Plum
Last but not least, we have Passport to Plum. This is a bright plum shade that looks incredible on darker skin tones. Rachel, the founder of Subtl Beauty, loves this shade as well, and she has very fair skin, so it’s a versatile option for everyone. While I tend to lean toward more muted colors, I can definitely see this being a fun shade for fall or even during the holiday season.
Final Thoughts
And there you have it— all nine Subtl Beauty Lip & Cheek shades swatched and described! Each of these shades is gorgeous in its own way, and I love how easy they are to apply with just your fingers.
