Hey, everyone! Welcome back to the Subtl YouTube channel—it's Keira here, and I'm so excited about today's video. We're diving into some super fun and unique stak hacks! At Subtl Beauty, we absolutely love multi-use products, and today, I’m showing you some creative hacks that are new to the channel—or ones that I don’t do very often. So, grab your favorite Subtl Beauty products, and let’s get started!
The Perfect Base
I’ve been dealing with some acne and scarring lately, but that’s not going to stop us. The first hack I want to share is one of my favorites: you don’t need foundation to create a flawless base with Subtl Beauty products! The cream concealer can be used for all over coverage. Right now, I’m between two shades, so I’m mixing 003N and 004N to create the perfect blend. The key with acne-prone skin is not to overdo it—just smooth out the redness without trying to completely hide every blemish. Trust me, sometimes we notice our acne way more than anyone else does, so there’s no need to cake on the product.
Wake Up Your Eyes with Concealer
Allergies have my eyes looking a bit puffy today, but luckily, Subtl Beauty concealer has coffee oil in it. This is such a cool feature because the caffeine helps brighten and depuff the under-eye area. I applied 004N under my eyes, mixed in a bit of 003N, and then went back to 004N to create my own custom shade. I even dabbed a little over my eyelids to create a smooth base.
Concealer as Contour
I’m reaching for my Leche bronzer today. Here’s a little hack: if you like cream contour or bronzer, you can actually use a darker shade of concealer! Unfortunately, I left mine at home, so I’ll have to show you that in a future video. For now, I’m using my fluffy brush to apply the bronzer lightly, building up the color gradually. I also use the flat side of the brush to swipe a bit of bronzer along the sides of my nose for a subtle contour.
Lip & Cheek as Eyeshadow
Now for a fun and unexpected hack: using your Lip & Cheek color as an eyeshadow! I’m using Mauve in the Maldives for this. First, I applied it to my cheeks, blended it out with my fingers, and then dabbed a little on the outer corners of my eyes. It creates a beautiful, fresh, monochromatic look. Just remember to keep it on the outer corners—going too close to the inner corner might make you look like you have pink eye! I then added a bit of bronzer in the crease for some depth.
Layering Blush for a Summery Glow
I’m obsessed with the new powder blush in Apricot Avenue, so of course, I had to layer it over the Lip & Cheek. I used the stak brush BFF (which, by the way, comes free with every purchase!) to apply it. Layering the powder blush over the cream blush helps set the color and blends everything together beautifully. This look is giving me all the summery vibes—I had to sneak it in before the season ends!
Custom Lip Liner with Lip & Cheek
Here’s another hack: use a Lip & Cheek shade as a lip liner and mix two shades together for a custom lip color. Today, I’m lining my lips with Guava Getaway and then blending Mauve in the Maldives over it. I love using a brush for this instead of a typical lip liner because it lets me blend and “paint” my lips like the pros do. This technique also helps create the illusion of fuller lips by keeping the darker shade on the outer corners and the lighter shade in the center. The result? Seriously, my lips have never looked this good!
Soft Brown Smokey Liner
For the final hack, I’m using the dark brown eyeshadow from the Dune Eyeshadow Duo as a soft, brown smoky liner. This look is super on-trend right now and is much easier to work with than liquid liner pens. I used a liner brush to apply the eyeshadow, focusing on the outer part of my eye to elongate the shape. I also smudged it along my lower lash line and into the inner corner for a subtle smoky effect. It’s a light, soft look that still makes a statement.
Finishing Touches
To finish off the look, I set everything with a bit of Shine Control Powder using the stak Brush BFF. I also added a tiny bit of highlighter in Golden Gimlet to my cheekbones for that perfect glow. And of course, no look is complete without mascara—I used my favorite mini from NARS to make my lashes pop.
And there you have it—a complete makeup look using Subtl Beauty products in new and creative ways. Let me know what you think and if you try any of these stak hacks yourself!
