Winter 2025 Makeup Trends: Keira’s Take on What’s In This Season

Hey there, Subtl fam! Keira here with a roundup of the biggest winter makeup trends for 2025. Whether it’s celeb looks on the red carpet, runway moments, or TikTok beauty inspo, we’re breaking it all down. Plus, I’ll be sharing my honest thoughts on these trends, how you can try them yourself, and—of course—what Subtl products will help you recreate these looks effortlessly. Let’s dive in!

1. Cinnamon-Toned Blonzers

Say hello to the blonzer! It’s a blush-bronzer hybrid featuring warm, cinnamon-inspired tones. Think natural flush with bronzy undertones. I tried this trend recently, and I’m obsessed.

To get this look, I used Subtl’s Auburn Adventure paired with Terracotta Tour Guide for a warm, glowy vibe. It’s the perfect way to combine warmth and softness in one sweep. If you haven’t tried this look yet, check out my tutorial (linked in the video), and let me know what you think!

2. Plum-Stained Vampy Lips

Dark plum lips are having their moment. It’s sultry, bold, and undeniably wintery. For Subtl’s take on this trend, I’d recommend Bordeaux on the Go or Passport to Plum for that deep plum perfection.

If you’re feeling creative, try mixing the two for a custom shade—plum with a touch of red. Or layer Elderberry Escapade for an even richer berry hue. Don’t forget: a good lip liner will help make this look pop!

3. Romantic, Feathery Lashes

Minimal mascara is still trending, but feathery, romantic lashes are stepping into the spotlight. If you’re into high-contrast makeup, this trend will make your eyes the star of the show.

Personally, I keep it simple with the NARS Mini mascara or skip it altogether. But if you go bold with lashes, balance it out with equally striking makeup elsewhere to keep your look cohesive.

4. Sultry Gothic Glam

Winter is bringing back those goth glam vibes—rich, dark hues like black, deep burgundy, and forest green. While this isn’t a look I reach for often, it’s a fun way to break free from the “no-makeup makeup” rut.

For Subtl fans craving some grunge-inspired glam, try Guava Getaway or Auburn Adventure on your lips and cheeks. Also, can we talk about how amazing a black or dark green Subtl eyeshadow duo would be? (Comment below if you’re on board for this idea—because I am!)

5. Real Skin Glow

Glowy skin is still in, but this season it’s about that “real skin” effect. We’re leaving behind the overly-dewy, greasy finishes for a natural, healthy glow in just the right places.

Subtl’s Shine Control Powder is perfect for balancing the glow while keeping things fresh. It’s all about radiant skin that doesn’t look overdone.

6. Cool-Toned Eyes

Say goodbye to warm bronze tones (for now)—cool-toned eyeshadow is taking over. Smoky grays, cool browns, and grayish hues are making waves.

For this trend, I love using Subtl’s Bon Voyage or Staycation eyeshadow duos. They’re cool-toned and perfect for winter, whether you’re going for an everyday look or something more dramatic.

7. Nearly Natural Flush

Blush shades that mimic your skin’s natural flush are trending big this season. Ultra-subtle beige and mauve tones that melt seamlessly into the skin are where it’s at.

For a natural flush, I recommend Mauve in the Maldives or Apricot Avenue. These shades give you that “I just came in from the cold” look without overdoing it.

8. Ice-Cold Frosted Brows

Okay, let’s talk about the wildcard trend: frosted brows. Adding shimmer to your brows is supposed to be a fun, unexpected twist, but... I’m not convinced. To me, it feels like accidental glitter fallout.

That said, if you’re heading to a fun event and want to bejewel your brows, go for it. Otherwise, this one might not be for everyone.

9. Bronzed Metallic Shimmer

Warm metallics like gold and bronze are still going strong this winter. To make them feel seasonally appropriate, pair them with darker bronze tones like Espresso Martini for a monochromatic look.

This ties in perfectly with the cinnamon blonzer trend. For eyeshadow, stick to warm metallic hues that can double as subtle highlighters. It’s bronzed beauty with a wintry twist.

What’s Your Favorite?

And there you have it—the biggest winter makeup trends for 2025! From cinnamon blonzers to vampy lips and cool-toned eyes, there’s something for everyone this season.
