How to Achieve the Viral Cinnamon Makeup Look
Hey Subtl beauties! If you’ve been scrolling through TikTok or looking for winter makeup trends, you’ve probably come across the Cinnamon Makeup look. This trend has been popping up everywhere lately, and I have to say—I’m obsessed. Cinnamon makeup feels like a fresh twist on last year’s latte makeup trend, blending bronzy tones with warm, blushy hues to create a cozy, natural glow.
This look is perfect for adding some color to your face during the winter months when pale skin can feel inevitable. Plus, it’s all about combining bronzer, blush, and highlighter in a seamless, monochromatic way. Today, I’ll show you exactly how to recreate this trendy look with some of my favorite products! Let’s get started.
The Perfect Base
First things first—foundation. I'm dealing with some breakouts, so I'm going to create a smooth base with the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation. I like to apply it with a damp beauty blender (pro tip: run it under water, then dry it with a paper towel before use). Tap the foundation into your skin for an even, glowy finish.
Next, I applied the Cream Concealer in 004N to brighten and cover any blemishes. This concealer blends beautifully with the foundation and gives that perfect hydrated finish. Once the concealer is applied, I hydrated my lips using the Spiced Chai Lip Balm (pro tip: if your balm is brand new, make a dent or scrape a little bit out with your nail for easier application).
Cream Contour for Warmth
For this look, cream products are key. I used Cream Concealer in 015C as a cream contour. This shade gives a natural bronzed effect that works beautifully with the cinnamon theme. Using a stippling brush, I applied it under my cheekbones, along my jawline, and around the perimeter of my face. Don’t forget to add a little to the sides of your nose for extra dimension!
The Star of the Show: Blush-Bronzer Combo
Here’s where the magic happens: the blush-bronzer combo. I mixed two of my favorite Lip & Cheek shades—Terracotta Tour Guide and Auburn Adventure—to create a warm cinnamon tone. Start with Auburn Adventure as your base and layer Terracotta Tour Guide on top for extra depth. Apply generously to your cheeks, blending upward toward your temples for a lifted effect. Don’t forget to dab some color onto the bridge of your nose to tie everything together. This gives that signature cinnamon flush.
Adding Glow with Highlighter
To keep with the cinnamon makeup’s glowy vibe, I used Espresso Martini Cream Highlighter on the high points of my face—cheekbones, nose, and a bit on my cupid’s bow. This highlighter adds just the right amount of warmth and radiance without overpowering the look.
Eyes: Simple and Monochromatic
For the eyes, I kept it simple and monochromatic. I actually used Espresso Martini Cream Highlighter as my eyeshadow base, which worked perfectly for the cinnamon theme. To add some definition, I reached for the Staycation Eyeshadow Duo, blending the matte shade into my crease and adding the shimmer shade to the inner corners for a subtle pop. For liner, I used a brown pencil, smudging it out for a soft, smoky effect. I also applied a little under my eyes to balance the look. Then, I finished with a coat of mascara for fluttery lashes.
Brows: Soft and Natural
I filled in my brows using the Brow BFF in Medium Brown, applying short, light strokes to mimic natural hairs. After filling them in, I set everything with the included brow gel to keep stray hairs in check.
Finishing Touches for the Lips and Face
To finish the look, I used Lip & Cheek again, this time on my lips. I used Auburn Adventure as a lip liner, outlining and defining the edges of my lips. Then, I added Terracotta Tour Guide in the center and blended everything together with a brush for a seamless, soft finish. Finally, I layered on a bit of Spiced Chai Lip Balm for hydration and shine.
As a final step, I dusted a little Powder Bronzer over my face to set the cream products and bring everything together. This step ensures the look lasts all day while adding a bit more warmth to the skin.
The Final Look
And there you have it—the viral cinnamon makeup look! This bronzy, blushy style is cozy, radiant, and perfect for the colder months. The warm tones make your features pop, and the monochromatic vibe ties everything together beautifully.
