If you thought bronzer only had one purpose, think again. Bronzer is the gift that just keeps on giving… new looks that is. From a smokey brown eye, to a sharp contour, I have 3 go-to looks to serve face this summer using your favorite Subtl Beauty bronzer shades!
Rock your bronzer as your eyeshadow base
Looking for a more natural-looking smokey eye? Using bronzer as an eyeshadow is one of our favorite tips, and this look pairs perfectly with a tan. Just a few sweeps of shadow and you'll be a total smokeshow.
How to create this look:
- Apply an even layer of either eye primer or Cream Concealer to the eyelids as a base — this will help your makeup stay in place even longer!
- Using the Dual-End Eyeshadow Brush, apply a generous amount of Mocha Bronzer all over the lid.
- Using the smaller end of the eyeshadow brush, apply the bronzer to the lower lash line to add a little extra definition.

Contour your face for a jaw-defining, jaw-dropping look
Ever wake up looking a little puffy? (We're looking at you, late night drinks and salty snacks). This is a prime opportunity to break out your contour skills. Contour bring attention and definition to your face's best features, all while maintaining a bronzy glow.
How to create this look:
- Apply either your preferred foundation or Cream Concealer all over the face.
- Using the Stack Brush BFF, sweep bronzer lightly over the temple area, top of the forehead, and jawline.
- For a more dramatized contour, apply a slightly darker shade to the cheeks with the same brush (Latte Bronzer is my forever go-to). Start at the temple, following along your cheekbone, blending generously.
- Using either an eyeshadow brush or a smaller contouring brush, outline each side of the nose, blending thoroughly.
- Using the Stack Brush BFF, apply Highlighter above your cheekbones, to the center of the nose (ball to bridge), and to the cupid's bow.
Pro Beauty Tip: When it comes to contouring, practice makes perfect, so be sure to check out our makeup tutorial on applying bronzer to help you out as you go!
Use your bronzer as the crease shade for a dramatized eye
From date night, to a night on the town with the girls, this look is always a show stopper. Using bronzer as the crease shade in a more dramatized eye look brings all eyes to you (and yours).
How to create this look:
- Apply eye primer or Cream Concealer to the eyelid as a base.
- Using the Crush Eyeshadow Duo, apply the matte shade to the eyelid using the Dual-End Eyeshadow Brush.
- Add the shimmering shade from the Dune Eyeshadow Duo overtop to get the perfect neutral tone with a pop of glimmer.
- Using the angled end of the eyeshadow brush, mix a dab of both Cocoa and Espresso bronzers and blend into the crease of the lid (if you're opting for eyeliner, make sure to bring it to where your wing ends to emphasize your creased shade).
