haley bieber inspired strawberry makeup look
hey guys, welcome back to the subtl youtube channel! today, we're diving into the world of makeup trends with a super trendy and sun-kissed look inspired by none other than hailey bieber. this makeup style is all about rocking that fresh, sunburnt glow with a hint of strawberry charm through faux freckles. i'm thrilled to experiment with this look, and i believe our new lip and cheek shade, hibiscus highway, is the perfect match.
creating a natural base
first things first, i always start with a radiant base. i apply a tinted sunscreen, the glow screen, followed by my nars foundation. since it's summer, i mix two shades to achieve the right color. my weapon of choice for this step is a dampened beauty blender, ensuring i use just enough foundation to let my real skin shine through.
isn't it fascinating how makeup trends, especially on platforms like tiktok, take off like wildfire? i find it incredibly enjoyable to try them out and share them with you on youtube. with the subtl stak 2.0 now available, the possibilities for exciting looks are endless. i've been incorporating the stak into my daily routine, and the new formulas are a game-changer. if you're curious, you can explore and customize your own stak at subtlbeauty.com.
for this strawberry makeup look, i'm going to keep my natural freckles visible, as they add a unique touch. as for faux freckles, we'll save those for later.
concealing and perfecting
next, let's address any imperfections with concealer. i've been experimenting with the 2.0 concealers and found that shade 003N suits me best. these concealers require a little warming up, which is why i prefer applying them with my fingers, ensuring a smooth and non-cakey finish. i usually start from the inner corners, gently tap, and blend outward. the subtl team took feedback from the 1.0 concealer to create a more spreadable formula with improved staying power. i've also learned that using my ring finger is gentler on the delicate under-eye area.
since i have a few minor blemishes to cover, i'll take care of those too. it seems that the 2.0 concealer allows me to go a bit lighter in shade compared to the 1.0, possibly due to its slightly thicker consistency.
natural & feathery brows
now, let's focus on the brows. for this look, i'm embracing a natural, feathery brow. i've been using a brow pencil slightly lighter than my usual shade to create a fuller effect, especially since it complements the natural and grown-out aesthetic of this makeup style.
strawberry lips and cheeks
time to infuse some strawberry magic! our star for this look is the lip and cheek shade hibiscus highway. this shade is incredibly versatile; it starts off looking quite natural but can be built up for a more vibrant appearance. to achieve the sunburnt pattern of the strawberry makeup, i'm extending the blush over my nose. i begin by lightly applying it and then gradually intensify it. these new lip and cheek colors from subtl spread beautifully, making them a joy to use. i'm going a bit heavy on the blush for this look since it's the focal point. a brush from the subtl four-piece brush set helps diffuse and blend the blush for that "sun-soaked" effect.
i'll also add a touch of hibiscus highway to the outer corners of my eyes, contributing to that sun-kissed appearance. now, let's amplify the glow factor with some hibiscus highway on the lips. i'll also add some glossy shine, following the inspiration photos.
bronzing and highlighting
a tad bit of bronzer using the brush from the stak adds dimension to my face. i appreciate the precision this brush offers. it's versatile for both bronzer and highlighter, allowing me to apply just the right amount.
a natural but defined eye
for the eyes, i'll dab a hint of highlighter in the center of my lids to enhance that radiant glow. hailey bieber's look also includes a subtle winged liner, which i'll achieve using the dune eyeshadow duo. a thin, winged line using brown eyeshadow adds a touch of elegance. i find this eyeshadow duo stays put all day, making it perfect for eyeliner.
adding some faux freckles
now comes the daring part – faux freckles! i initially tried a brow pencil but later switched to a brown liquid liner for more authenticity. creating faux freckles takes some precision and practice, but it's all about making them look natural. a quick tap with a finger can help blend them for a realistic appearance. it's not easy for a perfectionist like me, but i'm embracing the challenge.
final touches
to set everything in place, a light dusting of shine control powder under the eyes is essential.
and there you have it – the final look! let me know what you guys think. i must admit, i'm still getting used to the faux freckles, but i'm curious to hear your thoughts. did they pass as natural? let me know in the comments. don't forget to subscribe and share your suggestions for future product reviews or trending looks you'd like me to try in upcoming videos. thanks for watching. until next time!
