light & glowy makeup for spring
hey everyone, welcome back to the subtl youtube channel! today, we're diving into a fresh spring makeup look using light, glowy shades. perfect for the season, this look is all about feeling light and happy, just like the spring air. let's get started!
first things first
I've already prepped my skin using just concealer, and it has done wonders to cover up my acne. you can't even tell! I'll pop a photo here so you can see my skin before the makeup. if you're curious about the concealer technique, check out the video just before this one.
creating a custom lip & cheek
today, I'm in the mood for mixing lip and cheek shades. I'll be using Terracotta Tour Guide and Runway to Rose. first, I apply Terracotta Tour Guide and then layer Runway to Rose on top. Runway to Rose has become my go-to shade! to blend it out, I'm using the blush brush from subtl's brush set.
highlighting for a glow
next up is highlighting. I start with the cream highlighter in Rosé, patting it on top of the cheeks. then, I add a touch of the Champagne powder highlighter for extra shimmer. I also apply some to my eyelids, focusing on the middle and the crease for a subtl glow.
eyeshadow magic
spring is the perfect time for the Jelly eyeshadow duo. I apply the lighter shade all over my lid using the angled end of the dual-end eyeshadow brush. the matte color goes on the outer corner and into the crease. this duo makes applying eyeshadow foolproof, always resulting in a beautiful finish. for a final touch, I slide the retractable cover up and use the very tip of the brush to apply shadow on my lower lash line.
finishing touches
to complete the look, I mix Runway to Rose and Terracotta Tour Guide on my lips for a peachy tint. then, I apply some Strawberry Stopover lip balm, which smells just like fresh strawberries and adds the perfect amount of hydration and shine.
i finish with a light dusting of bronzer in Leche to add warmth to the rest of my face and control any oily spots with a bit of shine control powder. there’s the final look!
