get the look: recreating the lipstick makeup trend with subtl beauty lip and cheek
hey everyone! welcome back to the subtl youtube channel. today, we're getting into a super fun trend that i spotted on tiktok and just had to try. i've already given it a shot on tiktok, but i wanted to give it another go and share the process with you all in more detail. we're recreating the viral lipstick makeup trend, where lipstick is used as contour!
now, as someone prone to acne, i'd never use traditional lipstick on my face for fear of breakouts. that's why i'm excited to try this trend with the subtl beauty lip and cheek product. it's designed for lips, cheeks, and even eyes, without the worry of clogging pores or causing breakouts.
first things first
i've applied a light layer of foundation and some concealer to cover any blemishes.
now, let's get into the tutorial!
the process involves using lipstick as contour, following a video tutorial i found online. i've chosen the shade runway to rose for this look. following along with the tutorial, i apply the lipstick strategically to areas like the sides and bridge of my nose, cheeks, chin, and even underneath my eyes.
as i apply the lipstick, i can't help but feel a bit like a clown, but i trust the process and eagerly blend it out using a brush. surprisingly, the result is better than expected, giving my face a natural, flushed look.
to complete the look
i add some lip gloss for shine and a touch of highlighter for that extra glow. a bit of bronzer adds warmth to my complexion, and voila! the final look is achieved using only the lip and cheek product.
i'm pleasantly surprised by the outcome. it's fun, it's fresh, and it's perfect for a vacation-inspired sunkissed vibe. the reddish-pink eye look is a standout, especially with the added highlighter.
