Hey there! I’m Rachel, the founder of Subtl Beauty, and I wanted to make sure I took the time to personally thank you today!
For those of you new this year, we’re a small business located in Pittsburgh, PA. I started working on stackable makeup back in 2017 and officially launched Subtl from my basement in 2019. 2023 marks our 5th year in business, and probably our most meaningful to date!
If you’ve been here for a while, you know I like to take the opportunity to reach out on Small Business Saturday to thank you all for your continued support. This year has been filled with so much change and growth, and while change can be scary, it also plays a vital role in innovation and improvement! You’ve been so supportive this year and I really want to thank you for that.
So what change did we experience this year? Let’s recap:
In August, we found our forever home in our brand-new purple packaging. This was several years in the making, and a result of all of your detailed feedback over the years which I’m eternally grateful to you for sharing with us;
Oh btw, we won best beauty packaging of the year as well! Definitely a surreal moment.
From your continued feedback & patience as we transition our makeup staks, to sharing Subtl in your circles and introducing new people to our stackable community, there’s a lot to be grateful for this year, and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being here with us on this journey.
As a thank you, we’re celebrating Small Business Saturday with 20% off everything at subtlbeauty.com. This year, I’m really excited about the Subtl Set Vol. 4 ($110$190.) We do a value set every year that features all of the recent newness we have launched and I’m so proud of the set this year. We really pushed the limit on the flavor of our balms because I wanted them to taste like a juicy treat and I think we achieved that, you can even smell them through the gift set box!

- We made it easier to open/close your stak with a redesign of the screwing threads
- We reduced our impact on the environment by designing refillable layers
- Last but not least, we added the highly requested mirror in the lid for better on-the-go application
