Getting ready for work at the gym can seem daunting, but as someone who has been doing this for years, I'm here to say it can be done! It took me a couple of months to really get the hang of it - but I've nailed down how to use my time effectively to streamline my locker room routine.
Here are the tips I've learned about getting ready at the gym
1. Pack a thin towel
Towels take up so much room and while it might be tempting to pack your fluffiest, comfiest towel, you can save a TON of space by opting for something thinner and more lightweight.
2. Downsize your shower products
If you're committed to going to the gym every morning, you need to change the way you pack your toiletries to make it as easy as possible to shower at the gym.
We recommend the Zirui Go Case which contains empty, mini toiletry bottles that you can refill with your shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and favorite face serum.
3. Apply your makeup in the car
This tip is for my sweaty gals.
If you take a long time to cool off after a workout, a hot and humid locker room will be your worse nightmare.
I recommend doing the bare minimum in the locker room and saving the last few steps of your morning routine for a place with less humidity. I like to apply my makeup in the car with the cool air conditioning on full blast.
4. Cut down your makeup routine
Speaking of makeup, your beauty products are probably the reason your gym bag weighs 20 lbs. Cut down on bag-space (and time) by opting for mini, multi-purpose products to add to your locker room makeup kit.
We recommend picking up a mini mascara, a mini tinted-moisturizer and grabbing yourself a Subtl Beauty Makeup Set which contains 5 multi-purpose makeup products and comes with a Stack Brush for all of your application needs.
