Hey there, welcome to our YouTube channel, Subtl Beauty.
Remember Michelle Yo's historic win at the Oscars this year? She became the first Asian actress to win the Best Actress award for her amazing performance in "Everything Everywhere, All at Once." But that's not all - her stunning red carpet look caught everyone's attention too! She wore an angelic couture A-line gown that complemented her beauty, but what really made her stand out was her flawless makeup.

Today, we're going to show you how to recreate Michelle's Oscar makeup. We'll start by prepping the face, just like she had on the red carpet - moisturizer to hydrate the skin and lip balm to moisturize the lips. Then, we'll use primer to make sure the makeup stays in place all day. Lastly, we'll apply a light foundation to even out the skin tone.

Michelle's makeup had a natural and glowing look, so we'll use a pink cheek color duo in Dusty Rose to get that radiant glow on the cheekbones. For her smoky eye look, we'll use warm brown and copper tones with Nectar and Dune eyeshadows. I'm applying the lighter color, Nectar, all over my lids to get the copper tone, and then adding the darker brown, Dune, on the outer corners. I'm being careful not to apply too much, especially since I have hooded eyes, so I'm following my natural crease and blending the colors together. Then, to complete the smoky eye look, I'll use the smaller travel dual brush to apply some of the brown color under my eyes. These eyeshadows are highly pigmented, so I may have picked up too much, but I'll just keep blending until it looks perfect.

To really define the smoky eye look, I'm going to use a lip brush and dip it into my concealer to clean up the sides a bit. This makes a huge difference! For the liner, I'm going to use "Smoke and Mirrors" and a liner brush to create a little wing on the outer corner of my eye, but I'll make the line thinner as I get closer to the inner corners. Now that I have the black eyeliner on, I don't want it to be too harsh, so I'll take the other copper color and blend everything together. I'll also bring the color out a bit more to complete the look.

For the eyeshadow, I'll use the shimmery lighter shade in Dune and apply it to my brow bone. As for the lips, Michelle went for a beautiful pink nude shade. So first, I'll dip my lip brush into my bronzer and apply it to my lips, then go back to the Perfectly Pink color and fill them in. However, I feel like the pink is too strong, so I'll go back to the bronzer and add a little to neutralize it. Finally, I'll dab some clear lip balm over my lips for shine. Next, I'll use Shine Control Powder and set everything with a makeup setting spray to make sure it lasts all day. But I'm not done yet, I still need to do my brows and lashes. I'll brush my brows up to keep them in place and finish up my lashes, hair, makeup, wardrobe, and jewelry. And there you have it! Michelle Yeoh's Oscar makeup look.
