a simple winter glow
hey beauties! pauline here from zilch beauty, back with another exciting subtl tutorial. it's been a minute, and i'm thrilled to be back, especially to showcase a quick and simple winter look using the winter stak. if you haven't caught up with subtl lately, they've got a stunning new look with fresh packaging, colors, and shades, and today i'll be demonstrating a chic workday look using the limited-edition winter stak.
so, let's dive into what's inside this magical stak – a four-piece set featuring the original lip balm, the rosé cream highlighter, passport to plum lip and cheek, and the crush eyeshadow duo. i'm about to head to work, and this will be my go-to look for the day. intrigued? follow along!
prep and conceal
before diving into the makeup, i always begin with the original lip balm. it's a ritual for myself and my clients, ensuring the product sinks in for a flawless finish. with the northeastern chill setting in, i've got a tinted sunscreen on and will touch up under my eyes with the cream concealer in shade 002c. a little extra coverage goes a long way, and i'll use any excess on my lids to even out the skin tone.
onto the eyes
now for eyeshadow – the crush duo. using the dual-ended eyeshadow brush, i'll start with a bronzer as a transition shade. this trick helps soften the deeper eyeshadow shade, creating a more natural look. the angled side of the brush is perfect for this step. then, using the same side, i'll apply the deeper shade from the crush duo in the crease and slightly above, giving my eyes a more open appearance. the shimmer side of the duo will be applied with my finger for that extra pop. a quick blend using the other end of the brush helps smooth out any harsh edges.
a pop of color
the same bronzer in shade latte makes its way to my cheeks using the retractable BFF brush, creating a warm and seamless transition. now, it's time for the star – passport to plum lip and cheek. the pigmented shade is applied to the lips and blended out, following the L-shape trick for perfect blush placement. finally, the rosé cream highlighter takes its place on the highest points of my cheekbones, the tip of my nose, and the brow bone.
final touches
lastly i'm going to do my eyebrows and mascara, and voila! the final look is ready to be revealed. the winter stak has transformed these bold plum tones into a stunning and approachable elegance.
