hey there, welcome back to the subtl channel! today, we're diving into the world of fall makeup using my new subtl stak and the fantastic new 4 piece brush set. these brushes are absolutely stunning, and I can't wait to show you how they work their magic.
if you didn't catch our previous video, I highly recommend checking it out. in that video, I went into detail about the differences between the new and old four-piece brush sets and explained why I chose the products in my stack.
now I'll admit, my stack may seem a little extra, but I'm all about having options. plus, I realized I forgot to include a lip balm in my last video. as the weather gets colder, it's crucial to keep your lips hydrated, so I've added the original lip balm to my stack.
preparation
I'm going to start with that lip balm to ensure my lips are well-moisturized before we get to the lip and cheek.
for a flawless base, I'm going to start with a foundation. I recently learned that you should apply your foundation to your hand first, not directly to your face. I like to use a beauty blender to blend it in.
now, for those breakouts, we've got a plan. I'm going to use my cream concealer in shade 003N, warm it up with my finger, and lightly tap it on to cover blemishes.
contouring and bronzing
I'm trying something different this time – using a darker concealer (015C) for contouring. using the stippling brush from the new four-piece brush set, I'm going to start up at the ear and go down for a more precise application.
a little blush and glow
first I'm going to clean off my brush with the dry brush cleaner. next, I'm reaching for my trusty lip and cheek in the shade terracotta tour guide. i'm loving how these brushes offer a smooth, intentional finish.
now I'm going to to set it and blend it all together with the powder blush in blossom bound using the blush brush from the new four-piece set.
using the big, fluffy brush from the set, I'm going to apply some shine control powder and a light dusting of bronzer in leche to set the cream contour from earlier.
highlighter time! I'm going to use the blush brush (after a quick clean) to apply some highlighter, even creating a slimming effect on the nose with my finger.
eyes and lips
now for some eyeshadow. I'm going to use the dual-ended eyeshadow brush to apply the dune eyeshadow duo. I like to apply the shimmer first, tap off the excess, and then add depth with the brown shade on the outer corner.
for a subtl wing, I'm actually going to use the lip brush from the original 4 piece brush set and the brown shade from the dune duo. eyeshadow for liner is a game-changer – so easy and forgiving.
I'm going to apply a little bit of nude lip liner and pair it with the terracotta tour guide lip and cheek. this combo works beautifully!
finally, a touch more shine control powder where needed, and we're done!
voilà!
I'm actually quite pleased with how it turned out, especially since I experimented with some new colors and brushes. I'm excited to continue exploring different application methods with you all, so let me know what you think and drop any questions in the comments below.
thanks for joining me, and until next time, take care, guys!
