January 04, 2021 3 min read

Lady having a spa day to de stress

As much as we love the holidays and all the excitement they bring, Christmas time also brings a lot of stress, too (especially in 2020). Now that all this stress is behind you, take some time for the most important person in your life—YOU! De-stress from the holiday season with these three amazing, holiday-themed DIY spa treatments that will have you relaxing and feeling beautified in no time.

Woman applying a face mask

The cookies can wait—save your ginger for a gingerbread exfoliating face mask

WARNING: This face mask smells so good, you MAY be tempted to eat it (we highly advise you not to). The yummy smells of Christmas treats combined with natural, key ingredients to help exfoliate your skin and rid it of those pesky dead skin cells is the perfect combo to combat stress this holiday season.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 ½ tbsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of ginger powder
  • 1 ½ tbsp of honey
  • ½ cup of oats
  • ½ tbsp of turmeric
  • 1-2 spoonfuls of Greek yogurt
What you’ll do:
  • In a small bowl, combine all ingredients, mixing well into a thick paste
  • Spread a thin layer of the mixture onto your face, using your fingertips (avoid eye area)
  • Leave on for up to 20 minutes, then wash off thoroughly with warm water

Pro tip:From dryness to dullness, to stress-induced acne, face masks are a great way to give your skin the TLC it needs to stay hydrated and happy. Check out more DIY face masks to combat all skin types!
